The 2014 James Otis Lecture and Finalists for the WhatWorksSC Award

The annual James Otis Lecture, now in its sixth year sponsored by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, returns to the State House this year where two juniors and seniors from each high school around the state have been invited to attend. These "James Otis Scholars" hear an interesting and thought-provoking program on the United States Constitution, a federal government mandate for all schools receiving federal funds. On this week's podcast, we'll preview the upcoming event and will also announce the three finalists in the WhatWorksSC competition, an annual event sponsored by Furman University's Riley Institute and South Carolina Future Minds. Dr. Zais's blog of August 22nd and the audio portion of a video on the Military Pathways 101 Initiative closes the podcast.
