Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra bring big-band jazz from across the globe to the Spoleto Festival USA Jazz series during the festival's opening weekend.

For fifteen years, he directed the band that preserved his father’s music, the ChicoO’Farrill Afro Cuban Jazz Orchestra. He also founded his own ensemble, the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, which brings together sounds from all over the world. Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra perform Saturday, May 28th and Sunday May 29th at 9 pm at the College of Charleston Cistern Yard as part of this year’s Spoleto Festival Jazz series.
