Branch Tea Light Holder

Earthsense

Candlelight is a great way to warm up a room and add a bit of mood lighting, but rather than purchase a candle holder, make your own from items you can find in your backyard.  Create a rustic tea light holder from a dried out branch with a few simple tools.

First, you’ll want a branch that sits flat when laying down- the more weathered your branch is, the more character it will have as a candle holder.  Once you’ve chosen your branch, you’ll want to clean it with warm water, soap and a stiff brush, and then allow it to dry out.  You’ll need a one and a half inch spade drill bit and a powerful drill- a seven and a half amp corded drill works well for this job.  Drill into the branch about a half inch- you can measure and mark your drill bit with a piece of tape.  Then place tea lights into the holes and enjoy the rustic branch candlelight ambiance.
