Eco Wedding: Clean Up

Earthsense

After the vows have been said and the party is over, keep the green wedding spirit alive by recycling the trash.  Planning ahead helps too.  Go the traditional route and use glass place settings.  These can be rented or often come included if you rent out a venue for your reception and of course they’ll be used over and over again.

If that option doesn’t work with your budget, and you’re thinking about going the disposable route, definitely set out recycling bins rather than trash cans for your guests.  Or try to find compostable place settings.  These are often made from sugar cane fibers that decompose in 30-90 days.  And here’s an idea, to offset your event’s carbon footprint, give your guests trees as a party favor- this way you’re helping the earth and ensuring that your special day will be remembered for years to come!
