Highlights From the 2014 James Otis Lecture

Doug Keel

On Friday, September 19, 2014, high school juniors and seniors from around the state gathered in the

House Chambers in the State House to celebrate Constitution Day, an occasion mandated by the federal government which requires all high schools receiving federal dollars to observe the signing of the United States Constitution. This sixth observance of Constitution Day, named in honor of James Otis, is once again sponsored by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. This years program was subtitled "The Magna Carta," in honor of next year's 800th anniversary of the event.
