Highlights from "Women in Public Media"

  Listen to highlights of the recent Women in Public Media symposium, presented by the Riley Institute at Furman University and Furman's Department of Political Science.

These will include remarks by Paula Kerger, president and CEO of PBS, Patricia Harrison, president and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and Linda O'Bryon, president and CEO of SCETV. They will be joined by Jennifer Lawson, senior vice president for television and digital video content at CPB.
 
Among the topics discussed are "Public Media in a Post Television Age" and "Shaping the Future of Public Media."

Alfred Turner is a familiar voice to many listeners, having hosted past programs such as The Morning Concert, Standard Time and various specials. He was also South Carolina Public Radio’s webmaster for many years, and producer for Walter Edgar's Journal and South Carolina from A to Z.
