Manage Your HVAC Temperatures

Earthsense

One great way to conserve energy and save money on your power bill is to change the setting on you thermostat.  Set your home temperatures to 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter and 78 degrees in the summer.  Each degree higher or lower can significantly decrease your heating costs in the winter and your cooling costs in the summer.

There are a number or affordable programmable digital thermostats on the market that can moderate the temperature in your home for you.  Remember to check your filter monthly and change them when they’re dirty- adequate air flow through your HVAC system is critical to maintain efficiency.  And have your heating and cooling systems serviced annually- this can extend the life of your system and maintain efficiency.
