Not So Fast - Use It

Earthsense

If you’ve noticed that all the products of your good intentions are creating clutter in your house, then it may be time to let it go and recycle those old magazines you just haven’t had time to read.  However, don’t be too quick to pitch these items that can be useful.

Mesh produce bags are great for knotting together into a steel wool like sponge.  That plastic lid that seems to have lost his container is great for keeping yarn wrangled if you happen to knit or crochet.  Plastic forks stuck into your garden with the tines pointing to the sky can help deter rabbits, mice, and other rodents from eating your fledgling plants.  Now, if you’re really crafty then you see a wind chime where others just see beer bottle caps, or a wreath where others just see a bunch of old plastic spoons.  The best rule of thumb to avoid clutter is if you don’t use it within a month, then recycle it.  Find us online at South Carolina Public Radio dot org.
