Signs of Stress

Earthsense

According to the American Psychological Association, Americans are more stressed than ever, and for many, stress can impact mental or physical health.  So if you have any of these symptoms, you may want to reassess your levels of stress.  Stress can cause people to overeat or undereat, so if your weight begins to fluctuate, take note.

If you’ve never suffered from headaches, but suddenly find your head is constantly pounding, you may be too stressed.  Stress can disrupt your GI tract, so if your stomach is all of a sudden roiling, stress could be the culprit.  If you feel like you’ve constantly been sick with a cold, stress could be suppressing your immune system making you more susceptible to germs and viruses.  Adult Acne, difficulty concentrating or a foggy brain, and even hair loss are all common effects of too much stress, so take care to manage your stress in healthy ways.
