Uses for Hydrogen Peroxide

Have you ever stopped to consider all the wonderful uses of hydrogen peroxide?  It’s a wonderful anti-fungal agent, so not only does it work well for those small scrapes and cuts, but it can also be used for a host of other purposes in your home. Use it instead of bleach to clean the mold and mildew in your shower.  Hydrogen peroxide is a chemical compound, so you should be using a diluted formula such as the 3 per cent formula you can purchase in those brown bottles at most drug stores.  However, it’s much safer to use than bleach or ammonia.  And it can be used to clean and sanitize your countertops or cutting board, brighten your whites and remove stains, use it as a mouthwash or toothpaste, or mix one ounce of peroxide with one quart of water and use it on your houseplants to stave off root rot.
