Boosting Your Home's Resale Value

If you’re thinking about moving, then you’ve considered what projects you may have to complete to get your home resale ready.  Before you start any home improvements, de-clutter! This will not only help you get ready to move, but a less cluttered home will sell better.  Box up or sell any extraneous books, toys, or bric-a-brac.  Next, box up any personal items and pictures and stage rooms for potential buyers.  Keep in mind that the front door will be the first and last thing a potential buyer sees when checking out your property, so clean up any cobwebs, clean your front door and any light fixtures, and sweep the stoop.  If you’re considering giving any part of your home a quick facelift, focus your attentions in the kitchen where you’ll get more bang for your buck.  And if you have cash left over, upgrade or repair flooring.  Already have hardwood floors?  Take the time to refinish them for a clean, fresh look.
