In cooperation with South Carolina ETV, the Charleston Music Hall has been the scene of a growing series of televised concerts known as Live at the Charleston Music Hall. Co-produced and hosted by Mark Bryan, guitarist of South Carolina’s Hootie and the Blowfish, the series has provided four shows for ETV and South Carolina Public Radio. But in this behind-the-scenes report Bryan and co-producer Ashley Flowers reveal their ambition to produce enough programs to offer to PBS as an ongoing program from the Palmetto State. We also hear the rehearsal for their latest show featuring the group Sister Hazel, and get comment from singer/guitarist Ken Block about the band’s long association with, and affinity for Charleston.
